Unical Systems first began as a generic IT consulting firm under the name of “SB Technologies” in 2010. Founded by IT & HR experts originating from TCS, Satyam, Honeywell, and GE, the firm steadily grew both in Embedded and Web Technologies. The company was rebranded in 2017 as “Unical” as a specialized Engineering Services company with a focus on Aerospace and Defence segment.
Headquartered in Hyderabad, Unical has been serving various DRDO labs for the last 8 years. Unical successfully completed several assignments at DRDO in Inertial Navigation Systems, Avionics Control Systems, Radar Seekers, and Simulation and Modeling areas. The company primarily worked on systems testing, verification, validation, and documentation as per DO 178B, CEMILAC, and JSS standards. Unical team also worked on software development assignments that deal with real-time data of certain Avionics sub-systems. Further to these, the team also developed custom hardware such as Battery Management System, Motor Controllers, and custom Driver boards to various customers. Hardware Design & Development Centre at Unical is assessed and certified by NSIC, Hyderabad for design, development, and assembling, and testing capabilities.
With its insightful domain knowledge in avionics, Unical developed a versatile RT Interface Management System (RT-IS) that saves significant time and efforts of system designers while analyzing and simulating the multi-channel MIL-STD-1553B interfaces. This system enables the users to (a) easily configure the interface channels (RT address, Tx/Rx, and command word), (b) analyze the data correlation & dependencies (X & Y axes parameters, type of chart, and threshold levels for auto-alerts), (c) repeat the tests by altering the pre-configured interface settings.
